Agentican Docs

Quickstart

Go from sign-up to your first completed agent task in five minutes.

Create Your Account

1

Navigate to the Agentican sign-in page and click Create account. Enter your email, password, first name, and organization name. If you have an invitation code, enter it to join an existing team.

2

Choose a department

Select the department that best describes your team (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, etc.). This pre-loads relevant agents and skills.

3

After signing up, sign in with your email and password. You'll land on the Tasks page.

Explore the Interface

The app has three main areas:

  • Left sidebar — Navigation between Tasks, Plans, Agents, Skills, Knowledge, Tools, and Settings
  • Center area — Main content for the active page
  • Right panel — Chat interface for creating and running plans

Add Agents to Your Team

Navigate to the Agents page. You'll see two sections:

  • Available — Agents already active for your team
  • Catalog — Agents available to add

Browse the catalog and click Add on any agent you want to activate. Each agent has a role, description, and specialized instructions.

Connect Your Tools

Navigate to the Tools page to connect the external services your agents will use. Click Connect on any tool to start the OAuth flow or enter an API key.

Tip: Start with the tools you use most — Slack, Gmail, or your project management tool. Agents can only use tools you've connected.

After connecting, click the gear icon to configure which specific functions the agent can use for each tool.

Run Your First Task

1

Open the chat panel

The chat panel is on the right side of the screen. Type a request in plain language, for example: "Summarize the latest updates from our Slack #engineering channel."

2

Review the plan

Agentican will generate a plan with steps, agent assignments, and tool selections. Review the plan and click Run to start execution.

3

Approve tool calls

If a step requires approval, you'll see an approval badge on the Tasks page. Click the task to review what the agent wants to do, then approve or reject.

4

View results

Track progress on the Tasks page. Expand a task to see each step's status, output, and token usage. Click a step to see the full execution trace.
